Democratic Party Platform No surprises at least

Well the Democrats have revealed what they're running on.  Nothing new, but a hell of a lot more pleasant the the GOP.

To summarize:

-Pro Choice

-Pro Same- Sex Marriage

-Gun control Regulation (not taking away guns, just making sure military-grade weapons stay in the military.

-More Insourcing, discouraging outsourcing. 

-Health care

-Insult Romney.

Honestly, while I don't know how much they'd follow through, I like what they stand for.  They (especially Obama) needs to back off on Romney though.  He can point out the stupidity in Romney's tax and economic plans, but the other stuff just makes him look just like the GOP.

Nice to see they made good on their "Put same-sex marriage on the platform" statement.

Also yeah that's a lot more pleasant.  Though they can back-off on bashing Romney because every time he opens his mouth, he bashes himself.

Ironbite-wonder how much of a convention bump Obama will get though.

Hey, they need to win votes somehow. It's been proven time and time again that mud-slinging works. It really really works.

Mud slinging seems to work so well they could probably get the general population to vote in favor of reenacting slavery. The downright dirty political campaigns in America scare me, although I am not sure if its because they are so effective, or just so blatantly offensive. It might be because its a mix of both.

I'm not defending the current pitiful way in which American politics is conducted, but after what the world witnessed at the RNC it's sort of hard to fault the Dems for taking the empty netter that Romney left them.
