Although I consider myself an Independent, this is why I hate the Republican party.  They have ZERO argument against SSM, so they just pull cheap shots to keep it from getting passed.  In this case, it's, "Oh look at the time.  We'll just have to look at it later.  Maybe they'll forget."

This is also what happens when politicans answer to lobbyists instead of the people who voted for them.  The only thing keeping me from being a full-blown Democrat is that they have absolutely no backbone!  And the fact that this didn't get passed gives me more reason to give up on both parties.

On the bright side, they chickened out rather than voted it down. That is a certain degree of progress.
