I feel that both of these make an important point. The first example may be true for some people and certainly from what I've seen comments on "Friendzone" it is how a lot of people think they are feeling at the moment. The latter scenario might not apply to every one of those situations but it is common enough that the "niceguys" should understand that their whining often comes out seeming like that.

Speaking of, The Fine Bros have lost 140k subscribers over that debacle so far, abd are losing, on average, about 85 more every minute. The rate is slowing a bit (it was 100/min, about an hour ago), but that's likely cause most of their viewership  is likely american, and we're going to sleep.

They lost like 100,000 just on Sunday alone and the numbers keep dropping.  This old school media mentality to what amounts to an Internet trend really came back and hit them where it hurts.  Of course the Fine Bros. are known for this type of shit.  They have a reaction video called "Teens React to Newtown School Shooting" so it's not like they're paragons of virtue.  They've also had their fans go scream at the Ellen show when they dared have a kids react to something segment as well as go after Buzzfeed when they did the same with kids reacting to 90s music videos.  These guys honestly thought they had the market on reaction videos and now they're seeing just how badly they fucked up.
