I know a couple back in ATL. Dad is an architect, mom is a real estate agent. Both have degrees, both are
moderate politically....and are fucking anti-vaccers! Thank gawd, both kids made it to young adulthood okay, but unless they
get adult vaccinations for the childhood diseases that they have not yet contracted (and they suffered like hell through a
bunch of 'em, especially flu after flu), they could still die from stupid dangers like a strain of measles or gawd knows what.
No doubt the majority of anti-vaccers are on the extreme ends socio-politically, but what I think is the real main cause of the
spread of this "movement" is scientific illiteracy to the point that they do not even recognize that the claims are actually
outrageous. Combine that with the lack of time or motivation to truly research the topic and educate themselves.
