Slate has a nice rundown of the lies assertions used in the movie. Bonus for watching the premiere with Joseph Farah.

Quote
Returning a bust of Winston Churchill to the United Kingdom. Let’s give him that.

Backing “Argentina, not Britain, in the dispute over the Falkland Islands.” Obama slipped this year and called the Falklands the “Malvinas,” Argentina’s name for the islands. But the administration is neutral on the question, expecting a referendum to re-affirm the islanders’ association with the United Kingdom, and Obama’s not the first American president to stay neutral on this.

Delaying the Keystone pipeline while giving “billions of dollars in taxpayer money” to Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico to drill. This was a decision made by Bush-appointed members of the Export-Import Bank, not by Obama.

Lowering NASA’s horizon to “reconciling with Muslims.” Our evidence is a pander-rific interview NASA administrator Charles Bolden gave to al Jazeera.

“Using force” against “what he calls genocide” in Libya, but not to stop “even greater genocide” in Syria. Be a sport and give him this one, too, but the “force” in Libya consisted of a no-fly zone; the Syria situation is evolving.

Dropping “America’s ally Hosni Mubarak,” but failing to support the “green revolution” in Iran. Obama didn’t intervene in either case, and his administration didn’t call for Mubarak to step down.

Making no “meaningful” moves against Iran’s nuclear weapons programs while “reducing stockpiles in America.” It’s the most terrifying accusation in the movie. We see Obama sign the new START and cut our warhead count from 5,000 to 2,500. We see a world map where America’s nuke count drops to zero as its enemies build and build. (Almost tied for scariness: A scene in which the Middle East unites into a swollen Caliphate, surrounded by thorns.) “A world without nuclear weapons?” scoffs D’Souza. “Dreamy idea.” It sure is. Ask any anti-colonial black liberation theologian, from Ronald Reagan to John McCain.

I was really depressed to learn that one of the producers of "Schindler's List" was involved in making this movie.
Seriously? Well I stand by my opinion that Schindler's List was overrated.

Some asshat came in my job telling me that I should see the movie, and that it was "great". It was hard not to laugh in the guy's face.

Two people in my international relationships classes bought into that incredibly stupid movie, and its prediction of Eurosocialism...somehow...through some UN Plan 21 or some bullshit like that which Glenn Beck crapped out of his mouth.

Good thing is that there were only two. EVERYONE ELSE overwhelmingly would vote Obama, and someone even called Romney "an utterly inhumane fucker". I contributed "a disgusting piece of corporate sludge."

Oh, I agree, but still... It's in one of the trailers... "From the producer of 'Shinder's List'."

LAWL! So much butthurt!

"I want to thank the Academy for not nominating our film," D'Souza joked, according to the Hollywood Reporter. "By ignoring 2016, the top-performing box-office hit of 2012, and pretending that films like 'Searching for Sugar Man' and 'This Is Not a Film' are more deserving of an Oscar, our friends in Hollywood have removed any doubt average Americans may have had that liberal political ideology, not excellence, is the true standard of what receives awards."

Quote
Molen told the Hollywood Reporter, "Dinesh warned me this might happen. The action confirms my opinion that the bias against anything from a conservative point of view is dead on arrival in Hollywood circles. The film's outstanding success means that America went to see the documentary in spite of how Hollywood feels about it."

Although he may not have gotten an Oscar, maybe he'll get a Razzie.

I'd be more sympathetic if people here didn't act like they knew what they were saying when they were saying something very much wrong.

I saw the DVD of this in my local grocery store a while back, with a label on the case reading "the movie EVERYONE is talking about" even though I've never heard a single person talk about it.  This was after Obama was elected, so it kind of made me feel sorry for the people who made it.

Or the new 180°, a film which they had to do their own award ceremony so it could be considered "critically acclaimed" and "an award winning documentary?"

Anyway: [citation needed]

Wait, "Top performing box-office hit of the year"?

Apparently enough wingnuts saw it to make it the highest grossing "documentary" of the year. Unfortunately, documentary is a very broad category. It includes both factual documentaries related to science, nature and actual events and advocacy documentaries that explore a certain issue. A good advocacy documentary will state its viewpoint up front and back up its position with actual data. A bad one is little more than a propaganda piece that tries to hide its agenda and has little in the way of honesty or fact checking. 2016 is one of the latter.

33.5 million?  Forget learning basic drawing skills and catering to various internet fetish groups, making ego-stroking material for wingnuts is easy money!
