Way to completely miss the point. Nobody is saying that wearing nice clothes is brave. Openly living as a member of the gender that doesn't match your body at birth in a society full of people who will despise you, trash you as a "freak", accuse you of wanting to rape kids, and endorse you being tortured in Hell is brave.

a) The artwork is horrible.

b) "Busing?" Abusing? Traveling on a bus? What are they complaining about specifically?

c) Since they mention communists is this by some racist AND red-scare group (can't really assume that this is nazis or other right-wing groups in particular since "communists are bad" was and apparently still is so common belief in USA.) or are they simply using communists as a scare tactic since that is more acceptable than blaming black people for everything?

d) Did they recycle some older hate poster for this? the image and "niggerise america" thingy make it look like this is against race-mixing but the bus and "busing" seem to be an afterthought. Why would riding a bus somehow make racists angry? I mean I could get that anti-communists are furious at Americans NOT riding and owning their very own cars at every possible moment and using public transportation is (in the minds of madmen) kinda like communism since anything "public" is badwrongcommunist while owning your very own car that has been specifically made to have a poor mileage is patriotic... But what do black people have to do with that? GODDAMNIT! This is what I hate the most in the anti-communist tendencies that Yankees have, they have no idea what communism and socialism are.

Askold, it might mean what my dad was talking about once from back in the day. Bussing was when at some point in the early 60s they took a bunch of inner city ghetto kids and had them go to school out in the suburbs. They'd literally bus them in. I guess there was a huge culture clash. Living in a city (not just within city limits but really in the city) is a completely different way of life than it in the burbs. I'm not sure if that's what they mean, but that's the only time I've heard the term and it kind of relates to the picture.

And there was opposition to busing.  Some thought it was an overextension of government power.  Others thought it was an ineffective solution to poverty in the inner cities.  And still others, like whoever made this, were just straight up racists.

More importantly, busing was done at all because, due to white flight, the suburbs were mainly white, whereas urban areas were mainly black.  That in and of itself caused a LOT of backlash, because America is terrible.
