Guys, this is getting creepy. Can we talk about cannibalism instead?

Even though I don't really like Kristen Stewart, I can't blame her and the others for their shitty acting, considering that's just how flat the characters are in the books.

That's the thing - she's acting perfectly.  It's how her character is written.

Blame the writers.  And the writer who started this whole mess.

I actually kinda look forward to seeing her in Snow White and the Huntsman - albeit not in theaters, I'd rather wait until its out on DVD.

That's the kicker to the entire series. Bella is as interesting as a used coffee filter, but everybody loves her. MYTHICAL CREATURES ARE GOING TO WAR FOR HER LOVE AND ATTENTION. And what does she have to offer these fabled beings? Googly eyes and wet panties.

If Edward wasn't extraordinarily sexy, all of his behavior and secrets would make Bella alert the cops to this creepy fuck who watches her sleep and keeps talking about how tasty her blood smells. But he's the sexiest thing in the history of ever, so it's okay. It's more than okay, it's omgggggg soooooo romantikk <333333333333333333333333333333333333

It's pretty good.  Kristen actually smiles at one point.

She does that a lot when she's not Bella.

Yeah, I'd actually watch the Adventures of Carlisle, or somesuch.  Or, Mustache Dad: Vampire Hunter.

I've toyed with the idea of writing The Life And Times of Charlie Swan, basically to show how obviously BAD Bella's relationship would look to her father.  But that would mean having to read the Twilight saga in its entirety.

Apparently Stephanie Meyer started doing a re-write of the original Twilight book from Edward's perspective, but rough drafts got leaked and she ended up scrapping it out of sorrow, or something.

My god, would that series be creepy from Edward's perspective.

"As I watched Bella sleep from the corner, I briefly pondered pricking her finger to satisfy the craving that'd struck me upon first meeting her those long four days ago. She smelled delicious after all, a divine scent that would drive nearly any vampire to murder to obtain the divine taste, consequences be damned. She rolled over briefly in her sleep, and I smirked at the thought of what was to come."

I remember there was a big outcry regarding that. A page on TV Tropes speculated it was for publicity.

You mean that wasn't the whole point of Twilight in the first place?

Well, with all fairness, Angel watched Buffy sleep... but at least he didn't do it halfway so creepily.

My god, would that series be creepy from Edward's perspective.

Oh, it's even creepier than that. An excerpt from the draft Meyer posted on her site, from when Edward first meets Bella:

Quote
I knew what had to happen now. The girl would have to come sit beside me, and I would have to kill her.

The innocent bystanders in this classroom, eighteen other children and one man, could not be allowed to leave this room, having seen what they would soon see.I flinched at the thought of what I must do. Even at my very worst, I had never committed this kind of atrocity. I had never killed innocents, not in over eight decades.

And now I planned to slaughter twenty of them at once.

The face of the monster in the mirror mocked me. Even as part of me shuddered away from the monster, another part was planning it.

If I killed the girl first, I would have only fifteen or twenty seconds with her  before the humans in the room would react. Maybe a little bit longer, if at first they did not realize what I was doing.

She would not have time to scream or feel pain; I would not kill her cruelly. That much I could give this stranger with her horribly desirable blood.

But then I would have to stop them from escaping. I wouldn’t have to worry about the windows, too high up and small to provide an escape for anyone. Just the door—block that and they were trapped.
