I'm not sure, actually.  So far, the game hasn't really done anything that made me go "OH MAN!  I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS MMO TO BE RELEASED! :D"

It's done some things that are interesting, and I like some of the races, but I'm having trouble finding that urge to play.

I wonder if it has anything to do with me trying out the 24 hour free trial of the original Guild Wars and absolutely hating it...

I pre-ordered and participated in all the beta events. GW2 is super different from the first game.

I could actually tell it was super different, but like I said, I wonder if my experience with the first game is making me feel "meh" about the sequel.

Yeah, I can see that.

Well folks, it's the end of an era.

Nintendo Power Magazine is finally coming to an end.

Their maps and cheats were the shit back before we had internet in the house.

NP was still around?  I still have a large collection of them from the late 80s to the early 90s.

Hey, 60 and you can get an Atlas with special bonuses built in. I just think they're slow as hell and I can cram jump jets into a hunch back.

Yeah, they really are hulking lumbering targets, but they're still cool. When I play battletech I tend to do mix light and mediums.

Sadly the game is Windows only, so no Mechwarrior Online for me.

Oh yeah, another aspect is that I actually don't like PvP that much.  When it comes to multiplayer games, I've always loved co-operative play over competitive play.

Games that are 80% PvP are instantly turn offs for me :-/

I haven't done any PvP in Guild Wars, and I still enjoy it. I only play with a friend though, since it's not nearly as fun otherwise.

So this is on steam now.

Everything I've heard about it has been that it isn't worth it in it's original state.

Luckily, you don't have to play it in it's original state.

Oh good, a game I would have to mod to get everything out of it.  It's like Masquerade all over again.

Irritated as fuuuuuuuuuuuck right now.  Rolled up a new Monk in DDO, a Dex-based TWF Light Monk with the Shintao prestige line goin.  So, I decided to join a group doin Tear of Dhakaan.  Simple enough, go in, butcher some hobgoblins, maybe steal an artifact, and kill their leader.  Well, before I got to the entrance, the group, which had entered long before I'd joined up, wiped except one guy, an Artificer.  "Least I have someone who can deal some damage," I thought.

Damage, he dealt.  However, when we were going for the soul stones of our comrades, I got all of em, got mobbed by a group of hobgoblins, ran outta heals, and the Arty just...fucked off.  While I was fucking surrounded by dickheads I couldn't fucking jump over.  Apparently, he thought I'd follow him, which is fucking retarded, because I couldn't fucking move, because I was being mobbed to hell and back.

Mother.  Fucking.  DUMBASS.

Oh, and his idiocy got me killed, and he ended up getting butchered...and had the fucking balls to blame me for the wipe.  Yeah, keep rolling in your delusion, dickhead.

That is the suck :(

The DDO playerbase has declined a lot recently, and not just because it went F2P...

Oh, I know that that stuff has been happening since the first party in the first MMO, but I'm talking about the frequency of it, as well as the whargarbl that goes on in the forums.
