Where's the evidence of European civilisation? Point to one point of sustained peace, ever, in European history. When have they not committed some horrific offence against completely innocent people?

What part of Europe? Post-WWII they've pretty much cleaned up their act in Western Europe (well, until recently with all the anti-Islam xenophobia).
