He'd probably defend it by saying it's not about texting, it's about talking (on the phone).  The reason why driving drunk or high is so dangerous is because being drunk or high impairs your judgement and perception.  Driving while distracted (like talking the phone) also impairs judgement and perception, because your focus isn't completely on the road.  That's why texting and phone chatting in the car is illegal, asswipe (the cartoonist, not anyone here).

I think it's because the top takes place at night in the dark and the bottom takes place in the sunlight or something.
