You know, I have a friend originally from Iraq.  His family fled Saddam's rule in the 90s.  He saved a little boy from drowning.  He volunteers at a soup kitchen.  He gives a fifth of his salary to charity.  And in the aftermath of 9/11, he was attacked by a group of brutes just because he's a Muslim.  Thankfully, he managed to escape, but he called it one of the most harrowing experiences of his life.  Go ahead.  Tell him Muslims are evil and deserve to be mistreated.

@KZN02: I can't help but interpret that comment as racist.  "Piece of fecal matter people" being a stand-in for something too offensive for me to type...I'll just say that its, in my eyes, worse than calling a black person a "nigger."

Yeah, probably.  Then again I'm sure these people don't really pride themselves on things like "careful word choice/order" for the sake of unambiguity.  It should probably read something like "piece-of-fecal-matter 'policy'" or whatever.

Eh, he probably thinks the people that don't denounce it are "shit" too, although that doesn't necessarily refer to race either.  Doesn't make the comment any less rabid/stupid/insane either way.  I'd wager you ask them why they hate Obamacare and you'd get nothing but Republican talking points, regardless of whether there's any legitimate merit.

Aye, an unfortunate side-effect of reading so much Tea Party "rhetoric" is that you start seeing racism in their bullshit when there might not be any...though, I'd be wholly unsurprised if that asshole has a Confederate flag on the back of his truck.
