It's meaningless. He has a new season of "Celebrity Apprentice" starting up soon and he needs to get his name back in the news as much as possible to promote it. That's what his "debate" was all about, but that fell through so he has to whore his name out any way he can now. It's like Newt's "campaign" that is, in reality, the most reported-on book tour of all time. He won't run unless someone else pays for the entire thing. Then he might just as a kind of self-promotion, but he has no intention of ever being President. He wouldn't accept the paycut. Although he would be forced to let someone else run all his businesses, which would probably be good for them, at least.
