Asians are actually a pretty quickly-growing minority group in the US, and of course there are plenty who are aspiring actors. Oh, and there are also Asian actors in other countries too. You don't have to look exclusively at American actors for an American movie. There's really just no justification for putting a white actor in yellowface instead of opening up opportunities for Asian actors to enter the industry.
