That said, I've stopped trying to anticipate what people around here want a while ago, I've found it makes things smoother.

A dog will never hold political beliefs because he's a dog. Besides, indoctrinating your kids with your own worldview is much more likely to end horribly than putting a sign in your dog's mouth and giving him a treat so he'll sit still long enough for you to take a picture.
