Avellone Fallout show the humanity recovering and the fall of the Brotherhood of Steel.

In F1 some of the communities are quite primitive scavengers but even there some have started to make something new already ...and the BoS have a massive edge of having the best technology, weapons and armour out of all the survivors.

F2 shows how those communities united and formed a democratic nation of NCR as well as the other villages. You still get places like the Den, the tribes and Klamath that are on the edge of civilization both by location and advancement. ...And the BoS have been outgunned by the Enclave and had to admit defeat for the first time in their history.

New Vegas shows how NCR has not only grown bigger but also gained better and better technology and is rich enough to be able to take over other regions (peacefully or by force. They at least contend to fight only raiders and creatures that are hostile without provocation (or so they say but basically it's Manifest destiny all over again. ...And the BoS have been destroyed nearly completely.

...Note that the BoS falls because they close themselves from the outsiders and stagnate while other communities grow and recover. They could have integrated themselves to the NCR and not have minded that they aren't the sole owners of technology, but they didn't and their arrogance drives them to war and defeat. But that's just something I always feel like I need to rant about.

More to  the topic, even in F1 there aren't that many scavengers. Things that can be easily looted have been looted. Scavengers steal from other survivors. Bethesda Fallouts on the other hand have every single building filled with food and stuff from pre-war era as if no one bothered to get out from their hole to see if they could find more supplies. That and all the functioning lights and computers annoyed me enormously in F3. Why would people still scavenge after 100 years? The only places that still had loot in were places that were locked up and filled with radiation or robots that kept people out.

But my other, OTHER point is that the America had recovered. There were brand new nations here and there. Some violent and brutal like the Legion, some Democratic but flawed like NCR. Ulysses could have succeeded as he wasn't nuking everything, just a few locations that would have crippled the forces around Vegas and thus forced that area to fall again and see if something better grew from the ruins.
No matter what happens, no matter what my last words may end up being, I want everyone to claim that they were:

Of course, there's also the little annoyance that no one, after several hundred years, decided to pick up a fucking broom and clean shit up.  I mean, Jesus dick-fucking Christ, why are even the fanciest places in the Mojave (the Strip's casinos) still so full of fucking dirt and grime?  Why has nobody collected all the trash in Diamond City?  Humans do not like living in filth.
That always niggled at me as well. If nothing else, those blackjack and roulette tables are in dire need of some new felt. You can't expect me to believe that with the NCR, with all their industrial might next door, can't sell them whatever they need to renovate. Even just a few square metres of green felt would go a long way to prettying the place up a bit. Hell, they probably don't even need the NCR. They've got a guy making neon signs right next door. A local source of textiles is surely within the realm of possibility.

Yeah, its not like they couldn't farm some kind of mutated cotton or something; those clothes can't all be cast-offs from prewar society and/or raided from vaults.

Also, I've almost forgotten how much I enjoyed the deathclaw companion mod for NV.  ♩Me and Little Ripper...♩

That needs to be a mod.  Bug King.  Any and all mutated bugs follow and protect you with their lives.

You see a man, perched atop a shiny, black throne.  You have wronged him, in some grievous way, and he stands.  The throne disappears, dissolving into a writing mass of glistening, black radroaches that proceed to tear you apart.

One of the things I've loved about the Fallout New Vegas community is it's still making mods to this day.  Same with other Bethesda games.  If I were Bethesda, I'd be wondering what the fuck I did to inspire so much creativity.

Ironbite-and not try and monitize that shit.

That's another thing. Even Fallout 1 had new buildings and clean streets in some places. Suddenly F3 developers decided that EVERYTHING must look like junk and people are incapable of producing anything new.

New Vegas has no excuses because the casinos are supposed to look fancy. New tablecloth has to be easier to produce than energy weapons that are getting delivered to Vegas...

Also, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is the best game featuring a Scottish catgirl I've ever played.

God yes.  The fact that it seems most of the cast is from the that neck of the woods means I'm in accent heaven.

A shame about a lot of the character designs, though. And it could have been much better about it. Masatsugu Saito is a capable artist. It's just the sheer amount of fan service designs does this game no favors. Newt and Dahlia make Pyra look subdued. And Pyra is the character that, for a while after the game was announced, made less and less sense to me the more I saw it.

For those who are wondering about the original Just Cause (i.e. Nobody, I am well aware), well let's just say that the years have not been kind to it.

Gonna play some Bloodborne.

I'll feel bad after killing Vicar Amelia - she's a cute big antler-doggo.
