Because NOT interfering in a country full of (sand) niggers gooks oil terrorists non-whites is something America is known for...
This reminds me of the comment UK Prime Minister David Cameron (whom I do not like at all) made to his colleagues in the House of Commons when the Libyan Civil War broke out:
If we don't do something to help these freedom fighters in Libya, we will reinforce the perception in the Arab World that the Western powers interfere in Middle Eastern affairs only when their own interests are at stake.
Incidentally, President Obama made opposing Kony and the LRA
part of American foreign policy more than a year prior to the release of KONY 2012. In fact, he even
deployed military advisors (i.e. special forces personnel) to Uganda in 2011, though it's pretty obvious that the CIA had been monitoring the situation long before that. Foreign Affairs Magazine, the public journal of the Council on Foreign Affairs, has suggested that
Obama's motivation for the intervention may be payback for Uganda's help in the ongoing Somalia conflict, or even just scoring political points at home.
Perhaps we should split off this discussion and have another thread for this? Anyone?
