is Cory Booker Batman?
Great way to start the day...
Two members of the mayor’s security detail had already taken several members of the family from the home when the mayor arrived and heard the mother screaming that her daughter was still inside.
His security detail tried to drag him away, but Booker told them that the woman was going to die, Detective Alex Rodriguez said.
“Without thinking twice, he ran into the flames and rescued this young lady,” Rodriguez said in an interview earlier in the day with “CBS This Morning.”

Not many people in general would run into a burning building to save someone. This is less about him being the mayor and more about him just being an amazing human being. A persons self preservation instinct is strong and most of the time it is way stronger than ones desire to help others. I personally think firemen in general are amazing people for doing what they do for a living, because fires are scary as hell.

This is the kind of thing that makes me proud to be from NJ.
In all seriousness though, Booker has done a lot to improve Newark.
