A shovel is just an axe you cut the ground with.

Actually, that's a spade you're thinking of.

Shovels aren't meant to be used with the ground? :P

Because I am talking about shovels.

Inspired by a guy throwing shovels at a tree and having them stick pointy-end first.  Reminded me of throwing axes.  Then I realized what I just said.

I may also need to go to bed two hours ago.

I mean shovels are more of a piercing than cutting tool (hence the pointed blade). Spades, on the other hand, have a flat rather that is designed for cutting. It's why they have to be kept sharp in order to not be absolutely terrible for digging.

That said, I suppose a hoe or a mattock would be even closer than a spade to a "ground axe".

Hmm, I suppose you're right.

Now that I'm bringing my laptop to class, maybe an 8 am start won't be so bad.
Guys, this is getting creepy. Can we talk about cannibalism instead?

This girl at work is doing nothing but sending Snapchats. She sent 26 snaps in a 24 minute period and is still going. It's nothing but weird, inane, and creepy stuff around the store where she's working. I can see why she gets fired from all of her jobs quickly.

At what point is it okay to demand that someone stop Snapchatting?
Still can't think of a signature a year later.

It seems that my avatar cannot be found anywhere else on the internet. At least, when I drop it into Google image search, a couple of the threads here are the first results.

This may sound silly, I'm quite impressed by my database textbook. Rather than GIANT PAINFUL WALLS OF TEXT, it's mostly large pictures with small snippets of text on each page. That makes getting through a 50-page chapter far easier.

Am I the only one who, whenever I see an episode of Friends, am always left wondering why that show was so stupidly popular? I can't be the only one who thinks the vast majority of jokes aren't funny and the characters are highly unlikeable.

Friends never floated my boat either.  Most teen/young adult-starred shows didn't.  Except for Buffy/Angel, I suppose.
