1. Is this a different human Barbie than the one that's paying thousands of dollars for brain damage so that she's a stereotypical brainless beauty?

2. Why the fuck do I have to ask that question in order to know which human Barbie you're talking about?
There's more than one of these women!?
Yep, and the one I'm thinking of is named Blondie Bennett. Turns out she's undergoing hypnotherapy instead of brain surgery in her goal of being seen as a "plastic sex doll".

I'm pretty sure that's the premise of a lot of hypnofetish porn.

There's actually a "Transformation" fetish (tf for short) on DA where people get turned into inanimate objects, although sometime they get turned into " Bimbos" ( think the "Dumb Blonde" stereotype)

I'd hate to see the person who decides to be a lamp.

Y'know what's weird? This Barbie girl wants to be an idiot mutant & hates feminism, yet Barbie (the doll) herself has been a rather independent, globetrotting modern gal with a gazillion careers & who never married her boyfriend, Ken. I personally believe that Barbie has feminist potential but folks see her as anti-feminist due to being blonde & girly....as if one had to be a butch lesbian RadFem "Straw-Feminist" character to count. Both Girly-Girls & Tomboys deserve respect & many Girly-Girls are in fact soldiers, mechanics, astronauts, scientists, surgeons.....

I don't think it's necessarily that she's "girly" that feminists take offense at, it's that she has impossible proportions and has clothing of such quality that the average person couldn't possibly afford for themselves.

I wanted to look like Rush Limbaugh, but the surgeon said it would be cheaper to shave my ass and walk backwards.

That's understandable. That said, as a character, I see her as fairly progressive. Sadly, Mattel seems to be emphasizing "Fairy Tale Princess Barbie" more than usual. I want more of Astronaut/Doctor/POTUS Candidate/Cowgirl/etc. Barbie! Sure, I like fairies & sparkly fantasy stuff but I like Barbie being independent with a career.

I have to admit regarding the "Fairy Tale Princess" stuff, I actually kinda envied that about "girl toys" growing up.  Boy toys were, at the time, mostly army G.I. Joe stuff.

And I...
hate
G.I.Joe.

Always have.  I never watched that shit growing up.  Hell, I barely watched Transformers (though when Beast Wars started, I watched it as much as I could)

Heck, I even watched the original My Little Pony cartoon as a kid.  I was a brony before it was cool.  *adjusts hipster glasses.*

There's a certain color, glam & magic to "girly" stuff. I like girlyness & it doesn't have to contradict tomboyishness. Like I said, I don't mind Barbie being a fairy princess....I have a HUGE weakness for all things "Pixie Wixie Glitter Sparkle-Faeland" That said it shouldn't be at the expense of Barbie as astronaut, teacher, doctor, etc.

"Girl" stuff is a lot more aesthetically pleasing. Lots of glitz, color, makeup, baubles & stuff. Traditionally masculine stuff tends to be bland.

(I had to add this edit because I forgot to add something yesterday & it just looked weird.)

The more I learn about this lady, the more bats**t insane she sounds.  At least she doesn't want to settle down and have a family as reported in many articles incuding this one.  I'm comforted by that news.

I guess she also earns major irony points for emulating a child's toy.

Yeah, I'd hate to imagine her with kids.
