So it seem Our Digimon Overlord up and sold Fur Affinity to IMVU of all things. In January. This isn't looking good for FA. I've never used IMVU but I understand it's packed full of malware and even the banner ads I've seen over the years always struck me as sketchy as hell. Not only that, they seem to be mostly aimed at the tween girl market, so their content is apparently squeaky clean, meanwhile FA is largely adult material. I get the feeling they don't really know what they just bought. This cannot end well.

I'm wondering if the FA staff just has really low expectations for a website so the mere fact the website looked even mildly up-to date and wasn't completly full of 3d human porn ads made them figure it was a decent site.

I wonder if this will finally trigger a mass migration* to Weasly or something.

Agreed. You need to get your art out of there, and STAT. Host it somewhere where you won't have to worry about it being resold by corporate interests.

Allegedly they won't take any art from the site, 'Neer's posted a few updates to that effect, but I'm still wary. Apparently FA's TOS won't change, but this is still really fishy. As for art, everything on my account worth looking at is commissioned from someone, so it's up there elsewhere anyway (and they're welcome to any crappy stick figures I've drawn). I'm making a point of backing everything up though. Seriously, of all the people he could have sold to, why IMVU?

My avatar went away, and I can't get it to come back.  I've tried linking to a url and I've tried to upload it.  I've even attempted to use a few different images, but nothing is working.  I can't even find rules for size limits and that sort of thing.

I had some money coming to my account (way late) and decided to get something for myself for change.

First option was Elite Dangerous but after checking system requirements it was obvious that it would not work on my computer...

Plan B was Pillars of Eternity (I would have been able to get the Pre-order deal just hours before deadline) but that one had even tougher requirements...

So I went browsing GOG until I eventually settled for something cheaper and less painful for my computer.

If you're interested in Elite Dangerous, then the X series is pretty much the same concept, only single player and much more reasonable in the system requirements department.

Websites that use obnoxious tactics to get you to sign up, like darkening the screen and placing a sign up box in the center without allowing you to click out of it.  Fucking Pinterest, I just want to look at artwork, I don't need an account.  I can't draw for shit, I don't take photos, and I'm not gonna repost everyone else's art.
