The illegals really are takin' yer jerbs.

Specifically, many undocumented migrants--many of whom are actually seeking asylum--are being held in private, for-profit prison facilities.
The companies running those prisons, such as Core Civic, are being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to do this. As part of running the facilities, they have to do stuff like clean the halls, make the beds, and prepare meals.
However, the people doing these things are the migrants themselves, generally getting paid $1 per day, or less. While they're told it is voluntary, they are also threatened with punishment if they don't "volunteer".
These are jobs, of course, that could be done by US citizens (or permanent residents, or legal immigrants) at a fair wage, but instead these companies have chosen to pocket more money given to them by the US government through ICE (ie taxpayer money) and press their detainees into service instead.

This is how the vast majority of North American businesses operate. It has been repeatedly pointed out that if they REALLY wanted to cut down on illegal immigrants "taking jobs", they should go after the businesses that hire illegal immigrants to do these jobs to save money (because illegal = no minimum wage concerns). But they won't do that, because the point of the illegal immigrant bashing is racism.

Oh, I know that businesses hire undocumented migrants because it's far easier to exploit them. I'm just saying that in this particular case, the business in question is pocketing taxpayer money that's supposed to be used to make sure the undocumented migrants who've been locked up because reasons are at least treated with a bare minimum of respect and pocketing it instead and forcing said migrants to do the jobs they should be hiring others to do.
Like I said, it's not just the illegals takin' yer jerbs, it's the gubmint paying for the illegals to take yer jerbs.
(Also, some jobs literally won't be done by anyone but undocumented migrants--when Georgia tried kicking them out, the state's produce rotted on the vine, because US citizens won't pick fruit, even for $15/hr plus benefits.)
