Got my hair cut, so I'm not afraid to be seen in public anymore! I also got volume 1 of Mark Z. Danielewski's new epic 27(!) volume novel The Familiar... honestly not sure where I'll be keeping all those books! Oh, and I got a new phone the other day, been figuring out the intricacies of it.

I've been to that area before. Worked with their archaeology department on some Ice Age sites around the area back in 2011 actually. Be sure to pay Lubbock Lake Landmark (their local digsite) and the university's museum a visit while you're there; they've been finding some really interesting stuff.

Speaking of which, Lubbock Lake Landmark recruits volunteers for their digs every summer and gives them free room and board. You might find it interesting.

Finally finished Chapter Five of my Dragon Ball Z fic.  Had a pretty bad run of writer's block after the first few paragraphs, but I finally found a way to work it all out, and even got some action in there, which I wasn't sure I'd be able to do!  Feels good to be writing again.

I got the green light to get a new duck and goose gun, possibly for this fall but more probably next fall. Something set up for the great Atlantic flyway.

Chapter Seven of my fic is out, and I'm actually getting really excited about writing future bits.  Why?  Because there's a nice twist I think people will like and like a lot.  I'm also really enjoying writing funny scenes...and I never fancied myself much of a comedy writer.
