Postcrescent.com is reporting that a small explosive device was detonated at the Planned Parenthood clinic in Grand Chute, Wisconsin at approxiamately 7:30 PM. The device caused a small fire that burned out before the local fire department could respond.
There were no injuries and the damage appears to be minimal.
Despite the incompetent nature of the attack, the intent behind it is part of a growing trend of violence coming from the anti-choice movement. With the deliberate targeting and murder of abortion doctors, the GOP’s attempt to create an online registry of abortion doctors with the full knowledge that this will endanger them, attacks against clinics all over the country, etc. it is far past the time where this needs to be dealt with like the terrorism it is.
Nothing says pro-life than threatening people with physical harm! ::)

This really isn't that surprising. I've seen multiple pro-lifers justify this shit by saying that they're protecting all the "babies" being murdered, so it would count as third-party defense for them. To them, there's no difference between shooting an armed intruder for self defense and killing an abortion doctor to save fetuses.

Looks like catching this genius (http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.com/2012/04/francis_grady_planned_parenthood_bumbling.php) didn't take long.
After breaking a window to the clinic with the hammer, Grady allegedly poured the gasoline into a room and torched it with a lighter. The flames spread, but they also managed to catch the sleeve of his jacket on fire.
The same records show the blaze quickly sputtered out after Grady drove away in his white van.

The picture of Grady that was painted this week by federal officials in Green Bay, Wis., was one of a bumbling ideologue driven by religious zeal, not a master criminal with an elaborate plan.

“Grady advised he has protested against abortions in front of that Planned Parenthood clinic on prior occassions (sic),” the document said. “Grady said he is pro-life, believes in God, and disapproves of the activites (sic) taking place at the clinic.”
Those same motives were on display Wednesday at his initial appearance in federal court in Green Bay. Outside the courthouse, a reporter asked him why he did it.
“Because they’re killing babies there,” Grady replied.
Inside the courtroom, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, he interrupted the judge and asked, “Do you even care at all about the 1,000 babies that died screaming?”
