Question out of boredom lol.  Doesn't have to be serious answers.  I would think in Catholic beliefs it might be seen as a promotion maybe?

Meh, I'd rather them get a new Pope in who goes "Wait a minute, guys, what happened to half of what Christ taught?  Get our fingers out of government, and into helping the poor, regardless.  Also, those vast amounts of wealth we have?  Start investing it into Africa, Haiti, and any other places that are in bad conditions, we need to do Christ's actual work!"

To be fair, I think even a lot of Catholics are getting fed up with the Catholic church. It's had slightly less than nothing to do with Jesus or his teachings or any kind of charity at all for at LEAST the last twelve hundred years. I think they lost sight of all that stuff as soon as they got rich enough to start buying all those silly gold frocks.

From what I'm hearing, many of the Church's beliefs don't even match the beliefs of most Catholics, which is why 3 big Catholic countries legalize same sex marriages. I know in the Philippines, people are tired of hearing that the Archbishops are feeding into political corruption there.

I've always hoped the office would go to some guy named Zicola.  Then you'd have Pope Zicola.  Pope Zicola.  Get it?
