Not today, but yesterday at work I got to meet Lilly the Hero Pit Bull.  Awesome pittie who rescued her owner's mom from being hit by a freight train.

I have a job interview with a local Public Defenders Office on January 2. Apparently they had tried to call and e-mail me, but had the wrong phone number and (I suspect) typed my e-mail address wrong. But I called to follow up (not knowing either of the above) and left a message with the correct number. So they called and scheduled me.

My adviser informed me that I do not require any more electives:  the seminar that I took this semester was the last one I require as a graduate student (actually, I'm a little annoyed by this, as he told me that I was going to need another one after this when I met him in August, but whatever).

I finished my paper for my class today.  As such, with the exception of my thesis, this was the last paper that I will write as a Master's student.

My brother was in a car accident today, and the pictures look pretty terrifying, but nobody was hurt (despite the fact a semi was involved).  I'll count that as a good thing.

Got my financial aid straightened out, declined all the loans, accepted my kickass grant, and setup direct deposit so the remainder is sent straight to my bank account.

Productive day was productive.

This was more of a "last week" thing, but still:

My dad has been hired by my old high school to teach a programming class. Even better, he's decided to hire me as his lab assistant. Also, I'll be learning Python.
