I sympathize completely. However, to use against us. Let me ask you a troll. On the one who pulled it. But here's the question: where do I think it might as well have stepped out of all people would cling to a layman.

I'd be more sympathetic if people here didn't act like they knew what they were saying when they were saying something very much wrong.

It's especially dumb considering one of MLK's closest allies was an openly gay man.

Eh, I think this better drives the point home to a lot of the people supporting Davis:

Quote from: Jordan Duram
It doesn't concern you, Sister, that kind of absolutist view of the universe? Right and wrong determined solely by a single all-knowing, all powerful being whose judgment cannot be questioned and in whose name the most horrendous acts can be sanctioned without appeal?

Quote from: Supreme Court of Canada
Being required by someone else’s religious beliefs to behave contrary to one’s sexual identity is degrading and disrespectful.

A lot of people who got polio got it so bad that it basically paralyzed them to the point where they lost the ability to breathe on their own. They would be put in this Iron Lung contraption that would help them breathe.

Here's more about the Iron Lung....
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_lung

Thank you for the information. I did not know that polio caused paralysis or that a device like the Iron Lung existed to help them breath. Fascinating stuff really.

It should have could have gone in dumbest protest signs more easily.
Consumption is not a politically combative act — refraining from consumption even less so.

I'd put that in the DUMBEST section. NOBODY voting is what got idiots like the GOP running stuff!

Look, I get it, all parties have corruption to varying degrees. However, there are in fact much lesser evils that are capable of doing good. If you sit on your butt waiting for a morally/ethically blameless politician/party, you'll be dead. Humans are fallible. We work in shades of grey. Even the most noble of us have done stupid things!

As an American, I'd rather have the Democrats running everything. Better a party of Centrists & sane Conservatives than a party of Far-Right Theofascist nutso wingnuts!

Also, the more people vote for the lesser evil, over time, the evil in "lesser evil" will decrease.

I'm 40 years old, I've seen my country "go south". I've seen what apathy has done. I've seen what a public that constantly elects wingnuts can do to politics. Politics and society suddenly go Far-Rightward.

You need to vote! If anything, all that corruption & gerrymandering means that the sane need to vote EVEN MORE!

or, you know. civil disobedience, because if idiots are running the show, might as well live your life according to your moral compass rather than comply with unjust laws. something about free will and all that.

i only live by the laws that i deem just, not by all. else, i couldn't look myself in the mirror.

why do i drive according to the speed limit? because i deem any faster i could lose control of the vehicle, etc...

besides. all over the world, it really seems like voting for politicians is trying to choose which std is right for you. if you're fucked either way, might as well not force which pain you get over another.

oh, wait. it takes moral integrity to do that? guess we're all fucked, because it takes a bit of personnal introspection to do that, and most people don't have that kind of self-understanding.

At this point it's easier to admit that you don't vote because you don't want to.

Digging around for the reason you're morally superior to the voting sheeple is increasingly absurd.

i have always admitted i don't vote because i don't want to. my reasons are numerous and personal, but among them i will not vote for somebody who doesn't represent me. that goes double for scumbags, and triple for crooked scumbags.
