There's something oddly satisfying about watching a neural network train, even if is literally just watching a progress bar fill up multiple times. Seeing the loss go down and the accuracy steadily increase is just...catharsis. Pure catharsis. Doesn't hurt that I basically rolled this one almost entirely on my own and there were maybe...two major brain-benders that got in my way. Its just pleasant knowing that all I have to do is design a digital math-brain, give it pictures of things (say, happy Sims), and have it learn what one looks like with no added intervention on my behalf.
Its the closest I'll ever get to raising a child. ...Until I create the first android, of course.

Also, this blueberry jam I just made is fucking rapturous in how good it is. And how piss easy it was to make, too.
