CARM going to crazyville

(1/2) > >>

D Laurier:
So since last spring a new mod at CARM has been running a reign of terror.
Mod11 has seemingly embraced the philosophy that hyper aggressive censorship, and equaly hyper aggressive random banning of non-fundamentalists is the best way to run a discussion board.
Mod11 is even redefining christianity to exclude 99% of all christians
Discussion has become pretty much impossible, and the actual posted rules (which were pretty nonsensical to begin with) are now pretty much ignored in favour of unposted rules that give certain posters free reign to do whatever they please, while singling out other posters for constant silencing.
Open expression of flagrant racism by certain protected posters is ignored, while pointing out said racism is punished with censorship and compound bannings.
I'm wondering if anyone here is or was a poster at CARM... and what you think of the direction they are following.

Osama bin Bambi:
I used to post there. The mods have always been crazy. They will ban randomly without any warnings. Non-Christian members are only allowed to post in certain boards. They aren't even allowed to post in off-topic boards.

Captain Jack Harkness:
I just went there today for the fuck of it because I didn't know what the hell it stood for.

I can't believe they honestly have a "cut-and-paste" section.  Ignoring the fact that thee section title's wrong for a moment, we have an interesting blurb.

I swear, they're not even trying to hide their intellectual laziness.

anti-nonsense:
I think CARM went  to crazyville a looooong time ago.

While I'm inclined to agree with you, I had noticed some effort to have at least some contact with reality... even if said contact had to be carefully regulated, pre-digested, and heavily sanitized to protect the fragile faith of the fundies... Since mod11 took over though, it seems that ANY contact with reality is VERBOTEN.
