The heat has really gone through the roof in the past couple of days. This keeps up, I'm going to suffer dehydration just from sleeping due to all the sweating.

Reminds of when my old desktop fried, and all I had for net was my Kindle...which meant using a magnifying glass. My mobile phone is basic and fuck if I'm gonna pay out the ass for slow web access. Now, instead, I could use IE on Xbox instead if this lappy dies.

The only real annoyance of the Wii U tablet is no ad block. So I'm good until i get the pc problem fixed.

By the way, where are you getting CNN's "right-wing bias" from?  I always thought they tried so hard to be nonbiased, they ironically ended up sacrificing objectivity.

At least you could get Adobe on there easily. Windows 8 has an issue where Windows Installer stays dormant on your computer doing little or nothing, but blocks stuff like Adobe Reader from downloading unless you end the task. Not that it tells you that's what's causing the problem, of course.

I had to download Reader because Windows 8 no longer starts with it out of the box, in favor of its default PDF reader that (like all the new default programs on Windows 8 ) is terrible, lacks functionality, and is designed for touchscreens but foisted on desktop users anyway.

How much functionality does it lack? You can't jump to a page number on it.

I know what does it, actually.

I'm just pissed that it's pre-checked at all.

Especially with something as dramatic as McAfee.  I don't care what it is, you do not make virus scanners (or in this case, virus scanners that aspire to be viruses themselves) an opt-out option.

Am I the only one experiencing a weird bug with YouTube where it'll play for a bit, then play the previous few seconds of audio again, while stalling the video?  Like...you're 12 seconds in, but the video hiccups, pauses, and the audio cuts back to 8 seconds in.  Its really beginning to grate.

Sometimes when I'm playing a video, it goes in and stops about 13 or so seconds into the vid and then goes to the next one in line.  It did it last night when I was playing some YouTube on my Wii.
