Wait, Nebraska? This is a problem...how?
We'll just set up a large stand staffed by people 24/7 just to talk about....Corn. Corn is always interesting to Nebraskans folks.
On a serious note...I'm actually with B-man and not thrilled by this at all but the right-wing has jaded me so much in the last 6 years that all I can do anymore to express my level of discontent is by how dreadfully I snark at the piece of news.

Ugh. I feel dirty. I have genetic heritage from Nebraska. This shames me.

I'd feel dirty about being related to Nebraska too.

At least they don't have a dragon exhibit.
Right?
-
Dragons=Dinosaurs. That's the creationist explanation. Which is only correct in that archaic people found dinosaur fossils and came up with dragons and griffons and etc.
Apparently, "The Flintstones" is realistic-ish, which would be okay to believe if you are, say, 5 or 6 years old, at the most. ::)

This isn't a "museum". Aren't they supposed to have some educational value? this is the exact opposite. the Anti-Museum?
-
Nebraska, we laugh at you.
-
Made for each other.

I was hoping the article would give at least a couple of the pieces of "evidence" he has for creationism and a young earth. I'd be curious to see if it was the same old tired already disproved regurgitated bits of nothing, or if he actually has some brand new shiny bullshit to present.

It's going to be the same old PRATTs, repeated over and over. Because everyone knows that, when you repeat a lie often enough, it automagically becomes true. See, even Karl Rove understands this:

Don't laugh too much at Nebraska. The state has yielded such a huge number of fossils that the University of Nebraska has an agreement with the Department of Transportation to collect any fossils recovered during highway construction. There are also fossil sites and museums all over the western part of the state one can visit. As in REAL fossil sites and museums, mind you.

I was just thinking about the amusing possibilities of MSTing a museum. How long before anyone serious would realize what was happening and throw us out? XD

Deal.

If I tried it? Probably about five minutes. I'm not good at subtle sarcasm.

My brother and I once did that a modern art museum. Security ended up following us around the entire time, but I'm not sure if it was because we were making fun of the statues or because we were teenagers.
-
Not sure what's worse: the fact that this place exists or the fact that IT ISN'T THE ONLY ONE.
Also, 'creation museum' is a flagrant contradiction of terms.

What exactly is MSTing?
I assume it is making fun of the creationist amusement park, but what does it involve exactly?

It comes from Mystery Science Theatre 3000, which I assume you understand. MSTing is watching a movie, reading a book, playing a video game, riding a theme park attraction, etc. and mocking it as it goes on.

Basically, think of the last time you watched Jesus Camp with your friends and you all started making snarky-ass comments about it.
....Or if you have the misfortune to watch a movie produced by The Asylum. (which are, incidentally, WONDERFULLY fun to MST because they're already all so laughably outrageously bad on all levels)
I totally approve, but one of you has to get your best redneck voice on and start quoting "Carl Sagan's Cosmos (edited for Rednecks)" -- if I don't hear a line about the earth being [hundruds and hundruds of years old] or analyzing the bones of a [Jesus]saurus Rex then I'm docking you points.
-
Jesus Camp? I'm not sure which is stupider, That or the museum.

Jesus Camp is arguably more dangerous.
