451 is quite a dumb, derivative book. Not sure why popular.

The party's name is the Democratic Party. It has been since 1830. Please spell correctly.

"The party must go wholly one way or wholly the other. It cannot face in both directions at the same time."

That reminds me… I registered to vote at my new address today. Got me thinking about this kind of shit. How the republicans are so scared someone is going to take their guns if they get them registered, but see no problem with voters being registered.

“I Thee Rape.”

Well, it’s no surprise that newspapers aren’t showing that one. By which I mean, it reflects poorly on the papers anyways. But even without the current hullabaloo of the issue it is getting at would be a death sentence for that particular strip.

I'd be more sympathetic if people here didn't act like they knew what they were saying when they were saying something very much wrong.

Not sure what's derivative about it, but I found it straight and to the point, and a good read for an afternoon. Not sure why...

It's been a while since I read it, but 451 seemed like either the author wrote half the book in a drug fueled stupor, and then came back to it months later, forgot what the point was, and wrote the other half.  First part seems to be about the perils of TV, but then abruptly started focusing on censorship, as if forgetting about the giant tv's altogether.

Truth be told, it's been a looooong time since I read it in high school, so I may have not read the true meaning.

All I know is the only reason Bush hasn't been charged with shit is, well, you know, you can't hold an American President responsible for jack squat! Unless they're a black, Kenyan, Socialist Muslim, of course.
