I don't like things touching on my plate either.  I think it's part of my OCDness.  However, if *I* mix them myself, it's no problem.  Sometimes I end up using multiple plates or washing one out for each thing I eat.

...Has to keep their utensils from touching the table? It can touch the plate but not the table. Also, I always need a straw or I can't drink at a restaurant... :/

Am I the only one who occasionally can't remember if some minor thing was real or just a dream? Something like someone I know getting a new hat or making a comment about a movie. Obviously nothing major, like a person I know dying, just small details like that.

Am I the only one who keeps themselves up at night going over conversations they had years ago when they said something stupid over and over again, silently being embarrassed about things nobody else even remembers, or thinking about how the conversation could have gone differently? Keep in mind these can relate to events that happened anywhere from yesterday to when you were five...

Nope, I guess quite a few of us are stupid* like that.

* Stupid because there isn't much you can do about them, though obviously you can plan for the future if ever such a situation arises again.

I do that a lot, especially with conversations from when I was much younger. I don't know what I think I'm going to accomplish by repeating them so many times, but I somehow find a way to beat myself up for my responses.

I get this a lot, too. It really irks me sometimes, to the point where I have to ask the person if it actually occurred.

Same, I also go over conversations I had throughout the day, week, month, etc.

EDIT: I guess I should add (so this post is meaningful) that it always made me feel as though I was living in the past or caught up on something (or possibly a result of my insecurities). I'm kind of glad others do the same :)

EDIT2 @ Mlle: I've done that, but sometimes its good because it prepares you for next time that insult is brought up. I also tend to think over conversations with ex's and remember those kind of perfect conversations from early on in the relationship ^-^

Then there's that fun tendency to think up the perfect comeback to an insult ten hours after it would have been of any use...

Those kinds of memories are really bittersweet for me. On the one hand, it's kind of nice to reminiscence about the good times, but it also brings back a bit of the hurt from when the relationships ended.

Bittersweet is really the best word. Luckily for me, I'm only caught up on one person (a cute redhead who still toys with me in my dreams). I guess (with that one exception) this allows me to sit back and reminisce fondly over those memories. I always feel guilty though, maybe guilty is the wrong word, because I feel like if I ran into some of them tomorrow it would be like I was clingy or obsessive for thinking about them (every now and then, not every night). Oh, well.

Ugh... me too.  Only in my case, give it about a month or so.
