The fact that they have their original colours as their skin colours but I guess if they were all white that would create a few problems, especially with the Twilight Sparkle is black/indian and Fluttershy is a Muslim fancanon groups.

Although aren't pegasi the only one's who can control weather so i'm thinking fluttershy should have gotten Dashies cutie mark

It's probably not so much that they're the only ones who can control the weather, but that they're the ones who are best at it.  Just like the earth ponies are more or less the druid race.

Using magic to control the weather is probably exhausting and a bit unpredictable.

I still think that tendency is one of the ultimate forms of the tactless nature of the worst side of the brony community.

Yeah, Rule 34 of the actual characters is one thing but the actual voice actors is pushing it. I've seen the picture she's referring to, and it amazes me how much effort goes into those things.

I can't see Fluttershy as a muslim, if only because her long flowing pink hair is one of her most distinguishing physical characteristics, and that wouln't show with a head scarf.

In my headcanon she's jewish, but that's probably because she reminds me a bit of my wife.
