That depends on what part of a comic you're looking at, doesn't it? I usually go for message.

But it wouldn't be the first time I'd been dubious about where a cartoon should go. It doesn't necessarily matter in the long run, though. So I guess we can move on.

For what it's worth I think Obama looks quite sad/depressed/dead about the idea of being a corporate slave in that cartoon.
