Eh, it doesn't bother me too much.  In fact, I kinda like the character designs.

I kinda wonder how many fanfictions have come out of this alternate universe.  There's definitely a lot that could be imagined by people out there (most notably the people calling "Brad" a flat character).  Sure, the movie was too short to really focus on giving him much of a backstory, but with a little imagination, I'm sure people could flesh something out.  It's not like he's the first character ever written to have no relevant backstory.  Then again, I'm sure people are mad at his...interactions with Twilight.

Eh, the movie did arguably have flaws, but when you're enjoying it your threshold for suspension of disbelief/questioning tends to be a bit more lax.

Anybody read that short Sunset Shimmer comic that was part of that Comic-Con edition of the latest MLP comic issue? I was hoping it would add some meaninful backstory to her character, but it completely failed on that count. turns out she was just arrogant and malicious from the get go.

There is a question I had pop into my mind when watching the movie, and it's something that I've ruminated on a bit here.

As Sunset Shimmer is threatening to wreck the portal, she says that the portal will close within an hour on it's own.  If we assume she's right, then wasn't it a huge risk to spend any sort of time dancing?  Even though Twilight makes it back in time (because the plot demands it mostly), what if she had stayed too long and been forced to stay in the alternate!Canterlot for another 2.5 years?  What would things be like if she had spent more time with her human friends, and what would her pony friends anxiously waiting on the other side of the portal think/do?  If fanworks haven't explored this yet, I'd like to see it do so.

As you guys know, I'm going to cosplay as Pinkie Pie at the NYCC in October, and I just wanted to show you the progress of my costume. I have the tail, the t-shirt I'm wearing, and I have made the ears:

The wig is on it's way in the mail, and I've just put the pair of pink jeans I'm wearing on hold at my job(going to buy it next Sunday, because there is going to be a special employee+ Friends and Family discount going on that day) I still have to get the cutie mark, the pink shoes. and I'll be wearing Pink eyeshadow, nail polish, and lipstick. I already have the eyeshadow, and the lipstick. I might get a pink cardigan, not sure.
