Title: What is asexuality?
Post by: Auggziliary on November 28, 2012, 07:56:59 pm
Can someone please explain asexuality to me? I've heard a few different definitions so far...

I've met at least two types of asexuals. There are those who experience romantic attraction to others, but don't want sex, and there are those who don't experience romantic attraction at all. I'm sure there are variants, but those are the main two I've seen.

I've heard that some like sex. I'm not sure if they meant with other people or just masturbation.

Yeah, that's true as well. They can enjoy it just for the pleasure (sex and masturbation).

Some define it as a lack of sexual attraction rather than a lack of arousal, some treat it as a lack of arousal altogether, etc., etc. It's a somewhat ill-defined term.

I use it to define species that use reproduction that does not involve sexual reproduction. Like asexual mitosis!
