This is my favorite part of the article.

He is the dictator. The only person in North Korea who has the complete freedom to do anything he wants. While most of the country lives in poverty his every wish and whim will be fullfilled by his slaves/citizens who literally worship him.

If he wanted to he could have a harem of 1000 women (and/or men), all of them clothed in pure gold and diamonds, in giant mansion filled with marshmallows and champagne. (He does not quite have the resources to have the mansion be a space station circling Earth.) Or ANYTHING equally crazy.

Instead he says: "Bring me the cheese. ...All of it."

That is a man who holds power in a nation with nuclear weapons.

To be fair, cheese isn't a staple food in Asia, so it's quite rare and expensive over there. Probably even more so in North Korea.

If he has no heir, then the very basis of the whole regime will go kerflooie! I hope either he or his wife has infertility issues.

He has a few uncles and brothers. As for fertility issues, there's a rumour his wife gave birth to a daughter in 2012. Not that she would take over.

Either way, I don't think they'll go "well, we run out of Kims. Guess we're gonna be a democracy now".

If I remember correctly, the very reason said older brother was cut out of the line of succession was because he'd been something of a public embarrassment, so Kim Jong-il cut him out of the will, as it were.  I dunno why, but I highly doubt that a society as male-dominated and traditionalist as they are would take someone countermanding something like that from their previous leader, even if said leader is dead.  Hell, especially if said leader is dead.
