I remember seeing a small initiative on Tumblr to replace Chuck Norris jokes with Idris Elba jokes because Chuck Norris is an asshole. Can we get some strong support for this because Idris Elba is awesome?

That's not a bad idea.  But why stop there?  Maybe we could bring back Vin Diesel jokes.  And Mr. T jokes, while we're at it.

Introducing Clint Eastwood jokes might also work.  Or better yet, Christopher Lee jokes.

After seeing this comic I tried googling Timothy Wilson because it just didn't make sense why they would want to shoot someone who's car is stuck in the mud. Turns out that he was driving without a license (and underaged) and tried to escape from the police. This at least gives us a reason why the police were chasing him, but is not an excuse for shooting him after his vehicle had been immobilized. They could have just blocked his car (just in case he would get it unstuck) and forced him to surrender.

Now I am wondering if I should google the rest of the cases as well but I doubt there will be any surprises. If I were to play the Devil's advocate I could accept that complete and utter incompetence in most of USA's police force is a possible explanation for these cases, but that isn't much better than systemic racism in the police force.

So many bad cops screwing up everything and the good cops are always to cowed to do anything about it.
