Because that's what the soldiers want (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/01/10/oklahoma-dadt-national-guard-mike-reynolds_n_1197347.html?ncid=edlinkusaolp00000003)
Of course it goes even further then what I'm saying for this topic. Not only does this bill ban gays and lesbians from serving in the national guard but potential requirts would be asked if they're gay, as the article said essenitally removing the "Don't" part of Don't Ask Don't Tell. What buffoon this moron is.
Ironbite-really hope this dies before it gains traction.

Considering that constitutional amendment they made way back about formally acknowledging how "wonderful God is," I'm not really surprised.

Ain't gonna stand for long - the guard might be different than the army but they aren't putting that in there without being met by a slew of discrimination charges.

That's going to go boom in a hurry. The National Guard is STILL part of the US Army. I'm pretty sure they have higher authorities to deal with on this one.
