Thanks everyone :)

Though I noticed that there a series of mistakes on the certificate. Some modules are listed twice (the grade calculations are correct though), and the formatting is screwed up in several places. So I'm going back to the office tomorrow and get that corrected.

My iPod and dock were stolen from my office over Spring Break (there was a team of volunteers and workers in the building doing renovation).  A parent volunteer sifted through four days of surveillance tapes and found the person who took it (her own nephew--she volunteered to help because she suspected that he had done it).  She called him, and he initially denied it with some pretty hilarious lies, but it looks like I'm getting my stuff back.

I went to my first live stand up show today (well, technically it was yesterday I didn't get home until 12 due to me trying and failing to find a drive thru that wouldn't fuck up my order, thank you Burger King.) And I had a blast I was laughing so hard I was light headed by the end.

Technically it happened yesterday, but I joined the campus Tea Club, and the first meeting was hilarious:

1) Turned out to be a nerd, hippie, and hipster gathering with tea as the beverage of choice.
2) About halfway through, a guy came in very excited and happy (and left somewhat miffed that the Tea Club had nothing to do with the Tea Party. We did offer him some rose oolong, though.)

Went to my first renaissance festival today. Some highlights:

* Earned stickers for making a successful hit with all three throwing weapons at the booths: star, axe, and knife.

* Got 2/5 hits on archery despite having fired a bow maybe half a dozen times before in my entire life.

* Survived for about 5 seconds in a fencing match against a master fencer with many years of experience.

Happened nearly a week ago, but still:

I fired a gun for the first time. Slight humor in that I did so in one of the more Republican parts of Florida, rather than at home in Washington. Still, I enjoyed it. The staff was very helpful, and I did quite well. I might visit the local range in the near future.
