That argument is not going to defuse any Christian arguments. I've brought it up before and the response was always, "Those other forms of marriage existed only after the Fall, and while God allowed them, they were not ideal and always had negative effects. Depends on what you mean by best. From my experience it seems to be cartoons that the majority of the board agree with.
