What's JJ?

Edit: Also, why is it so hard for conservatives to grasp that shooting someone dead is generally a dick move?
I think they also can't understand that this is a race thing, hi matter how much they want to say it isn't.

Yes, because illegal immigrants are exactly the same thing as an invading foreign army.

I'm just impressed that someone in America actually knows this bit of history.

Most Americans at least know some of the conflict's highlights.  We may not use it as a point of national pride like you Canucks do, but we remember it.

The British, on the other hand, see it as sideshow of the Napoleonic Wars.

To be fair Napoleon was trying to invade us at the time with a massive army, so we may have been kinda distracted.

In many ways it is reasonable to view it as a sideshow since it amounts to little more than a French ally attacking a British colony during a much larger conflict. In WW1 or 2 it would have just been considered another theatre of operations.

I never said I blamed the British, and I think it makes sense.

I wasn't trying to suggest you were blaming the British; I was merely pointing out the probable reason for the difference in views. A lot of culturally significant moments are only significant to one culture and to the rest of the world they are barely significant blips on the radar. Vimy Ridge would be another good example. Outside Canada it is just part of the Battle of Arras but to us it ranks up there with D-Day.

I've seen the Vimy Ridge memorial, it's massive and very impressive.

Apparently the author lives in a parallel universe where the concept of "diluted" has no meaning (it's halfway between us and the parallel universe where homoeopathy works).

I take it that conspiracy theorists don't brush their teeth?
History is full of maniacs, my friend, men and women of intelect, highly perceptive individuals, who's brilliant minds know neither restraint nor taboo. Such notions are the devils we must slay for the edification of pony-kind. Even if said edification means violating the rules of decency, society, and rightousness itself.

Considering most are likely toothless rednecks, this assumption may be more accurate than one would initially think.
