I'll grant you that elections, power and money (possibly also sex) are the biggest concerns your average politician has, I don't think it's fair to suggest they don't care about terrorism. That said, I worry more about the apathy of the people at large, now that they've heard W and the GOP beat the drumbeat of terrorism and 9/11 for the past decade.

I think that there is an argument to say that they mostly only care about terrorism to the extent that playing on other folks fear of it can help them get those elections, power, and money.

...Sadly, that does seem to be the case.

Oh, believe me, I wish I could've gotten a paid internship.  However, I wish I could've gotten an internship period.
