Most people I talk to tend to just call that a pentacle, to distinguish from the 'right side up' pentagram.

I got my pain shots today and my glasses fixed. That's as good as it gets around here.

Technically, from what I understand a pentacle is just a pentagram in a circle.  Or something like that.

Depends on who you talk to, I suppose.

I just call anything five-pointed star-y a pentagram. Easier that way.

I typically call all five-pointed stars pentacles, even though that's not strictly correct, because where I grew up "pentagram" means the five parallel lines you use to write sheet music.

From what I understand, a pentacle is a 5-pointed star, upright, in a circle, like so:


Whereas a pentagram has the star pointing downward, either in a circle or pentagon, like...

If I remember correctly, the reasoning for the latter was so it'd look closer to the face of a goat, or so a stylized goat's head could fit roughly into the area.  You learn odd things when one of your cousin's girlfriends was, at one time, a confessed Luciferian.

IDK, I don't use pentagrams and pentacles in my religion. And I've forgotten most of what I learned during my 'I'm gonna try out the edgy and restricted religions' phase.

The only thing I remember from my "edgy restricted religions" phase is that an upside-down cross is NOT the/a satanic cross, it's St. Peter's cross. I tried to impart this information to someone else even more "edgy" than myself and got cussed out.

I'm not sure you have to go looking at non-Christian religions to figure that one out. Tho I find it odd how very few Christians know this bit of information whereas it is usually the non-Christians who know it.

I do like the Sigil of Lucifer tho. More people should use it.

Funny enough, GTA V actually got it right: if you look closely at Patricia Madrazo (a very kind, calm Mexican woman married to a wealthy mob boss), she's wearing an upside-down cross.

So, yesterday, when I started German class, I sat next to 2 very nice girls (sisters, actually), who were both history buffs and into strategy games. Today, one sister was apparently happy to see me, and we spent most of our break talking about obscure bits of history.

Pagan things are confusing and clouded and some of it is false and the rest is Christianized. What can ya do?
