Wait, why is Dave Grohl (http://www.revolvermag.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/dave-grohl.jpg) shooting everyone?
-
Is it bad that I immediately went to this video's youtube page and hit "dislike" after watching this?
-
Da faq?

No, I did the same thing ;D
-
Oh joy, a film about imaginary christian persecution. Also, nice stock gun noise you got there brah.
-
Also I don't buy the premise here. Why can't you just lie to the gunman and leave to go get help?
-
I'd choose death just to escape those hymns.

exactly, it's not like people haven't "lied for Jesus" before.

Me too.

I like one of the top comments on the video:
if this really took place in Florida, half the congregation would have whipped out their guns and made sure Beardo met Jesus very quickly.
-
Frankly what Jesus would have done would be to renounce so you can get help
-
So, would anyone care to explain to me what the fuck I just bore witness to?
-
Okay I think this was spawned off of that myth of that girl who willing died at Columbine since she said she was Christian. Can someone prove that true or false

No, that was a myth. Even the victim's own mother and other eyewitnesses at the scene have refuted it.
-
Because fuck reality.
-
There's a verse in Revelation where Jesus says, "Any who deny me before man, I will deny before the Father." That's the basis of a lot of these persecution wankjob movies where people bravely tell a gunman that they are a Christian and die for it.
My question: Couldn't you repent such a thing later and have it forgiven like any other sin?
Also, is anyone else reminded HUGELY of how BibleGod acts by the gunman?
-
...what kind of gunman would give ANYONE a chance to clear out, let alone one minute to let the non-Christians clear out?
Whoever wrote this clearly isn't well versed in any sort of reality.
-
It's a persecution wank. He only wants to kill Christians.
Can't argue with your final analysis, though.
-
Or the clear out thing is him toying with them a la Jigsaw

Funny thing: under Jewish law, in an equivalent situation, the right thing to do would be to run like hell.

That's actually good to know.
It's nice when you run across a religious law that says "If you have to choose between your religious dignity or your life, CHOOSE YOUR LIFE."

If you're told to actually worship an idol, then you are supposed to die. Fortunately, the rabbis later ruled that if you don't have it in you to be a martyr, that's OK.

Christians love to portray themselves as being persecuted, when world history contradicts it.
The imposition of Christianity has resulted in the needless deaths of over 1 billion people since 325 AD.
That works out as around 1630 deaths per day for 1687 years, making Christianity an genocidal pandemic.
Mind you, every religion that has a missionary agenda, has some blood on its hands.

Where did that number come from?
As for religious dignity and death, for large parts of history (arguably until very recently) your health and religion went hand in hand, and usually correlated with which side of the river you lived on.

So, I actually jumped into the proverbial fire and posted my analysis on the comments on that video. The response?
And they do call the cops, but the bad guy is wearing a bomb, and the doors are wired to explosives so the remaining worshipers are now hostages.
And, as I asked when I responded, where in the trailer is this established?! I even re-watched it to make sure before I posted and there was nothing!
Now, if there's supposed to be another trailer for this thing that does explain this happening, then I'll be more than willing to stand corrected, but until then, my argument stands.
