Jesus fucking Christ (literally) coming back from work is gonna be a bitch tomorrow. And what's more the stain is on a hospital; they're blocking ambulance access praying.
Hundreds of Catholics have gathered in prayer and worship outside a Malaysian hospital after seeing an image said to resemble the Virgin Mary on one of the windows.
Pictures of the image have gone viral among local Christians on Facebook and large crowds have gathered at the Sime Darby Medical Centre just outside Kuala Lumpur.
Those assembled Sunday maintained they can now also see an image of an adult Jesus Christ just two windows away from his mother.

ERMAHGERD. A WERTER STERN.
Sorry, I had to. But now whenever catholics cream their pants over an imagined likeness to a female, I imagine them saying that.
-
It looks like Slenderman with tits and a cape.

Hot.
-
I see a pink, spotless giraffe viewed from the front. Or a worm which splits off at the rear. One of those two.
-
I see a vagina.
-
To be honest, I can see what they're seeing (which is more than I can say for some of the "Jesus on toast" things), but I'm more inclined to believe that it's a deliberate hoax than anything.

Its an old hospital. I'm going with water stain considering how many there are on the walls already (we've been suffering some bad rains recently). This one just happens to be on a window.
-
As a former Catholic, I was like "Hey, that kind of looks like Mary." So clearly it is a good resemblance for those into the tradition.
-
"Mary" appears to be marching FORWARD teehee.
-
I see a vagina.
Aiiiee... can't unsee....
-
I see Jesus bleeding from his crotch.
-
I see a vagina.
Yeah, I keep trying to see it but my brain isn't an accomdating thing.
-
It is a God of unfathomable power and majesty who puts his mommy's likeness on hospital windows.
-
I see a vagina.
Yeah, I keep trying to see it but my brain isn't an accomdating thing.
Would you like a detailed description?
-
I can kinda see what they're talking about, but to me it looks like Mary grew a tail sometime in the past 2000 years...
-
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the cross-like stain in the pane above the Mary/vagina one (yeah, I see that, too.)
OMG, it's a mercul.
-
I dunno. I see a bowling pin.
-
Now i see a bowling pin vagina with a tail.

Now i see a bowling pin vagina with a tail.
Your vision is easily influenced by the perception of others.
-
Not really. I can still see the original Mary, but as more things are mentioned my mind automatically looks for them to see if I can see them.
The post was mostly in jest, anyway. I can see all of it, but I can also see things as they are one at a time.
To me alone, with no influence, I see an alien.
-
I see a bowling pin with a cape.
And a vagina now that everybody has mentioned it.
If someone went and cleaned it could they get sued?
-
I see Princess Leia in a cape and a flowy gown.
-
Looking at this from a religious viewpoint, isn't this a little idol-worshippish?
-
Eeeehhhhheeeeeyyyyyy kinda sorta maybe.
-
Somebody needs to give Mary a tampon.
She looks like she's leaking a little.
-
Yeah, but then she could hide all that nasty woman-blood, and the good, Yahweh-fearing men wouldn't know when she's not to be touched...or allowed to sit on any of your good furnishings.

The panel will now be moved to a church far away.
http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2012/11/14/nation/12314156&sec=nation
The glass panel at the Sime Darby Medical Centre (SDMC) where an image of the Blessed Virgin Mary is believed to have appeared will be moved to a church in Klang.
Church of St Thomas More parish priest Rev Father Simon Labrooy said the decision was reached after meeting with the management of SDMC.
“The Catholic Church is in agreement with SDMC that the present situation cannot continue as we are concerned over the direct effect this may have on emergency services at SDMC,” he said in a letter addressed to parishioners.
Father Labrooy said the SDMC management had given an assurance that a professional firm would be engaged to ensure no damage to the glass panel during the moving process, and that the operation would be supervised by the Church of St Thomas More officials.

Doesn't really count in Catholicism. Idol worship in Catholicism is basically if you worship false idols (basically things that distract you from Jesus, like worshipping some other God). People like Mary or the saints aren't seen as above God or Jesus, but more like telephone operators. Instead of every person praying to God, you can pray to Mary (who, as Jesus' mother, has a lot of influence over him) or one of the saints, and they can direct your call. If you lose your car keys and you pray to St. Anthony (patron saint of lost things), St. Anthony himself doesn't help you find your car keys: rather, St. Anthony, while in Heaven, prays to God, who, working through St. Anthony, helps you find your keys.
Therefore veneration of images (especially of Mary) or holy relics is less idol worship and more considered solid proof of this system being in place.

Wow, I though I was the only one that was seeing a vagina on the window. Why is it always Catholics that are claiming to see shit like this?

Catholics believe in miracles that can occur in everyday life to ordinary people. That's why there are beautified people well into the 20th century and various visions and prophecies. Case in point. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Our_Lady_of_Fátima)

Huh...so, basically, in Catholicism, the saints and such are like NCOs in the military, they serve to bridge the gap between us foot sloggers and the COs. Fascinating how that works...

Exactly. Don't know much about the military, but are you supposed to want to be them or act like them, too? Because they're also there as reminders that you don't have to be Jesus to be holy: all saints are perfectly ordinary people who managed to become saints through acts of goodness and devotion to God, and the implication is that you, too, could be a saint and that it's not unachievable.
-
That's a good idea, true.
Though technically a Saint is anyone who's gone to heaven. The sainted individuals are those that are guaranteed to be in heaven because they are bringing miracles to us. The Catholic Church generally tries to avoid going apeshit over every miracle and tends to be pretty stingy, especially recently, with saying something is a miracle. You need two-three to be a saint. Beatification requires 1.
Though I think all that is waived for martyrs. I can't think of a martyr that didn't get saintdom, at least famous martyrs.

Aye. Typically, NCOs (from what I've heard and read, I've no actual military experience) are the guys you wanna be like, when you're a regular soldier. They've got experience, and they know how to command their units and inspire them. Usually, the people leading the charges are NCOs, if I'm not mistaken. Generals and other top-ranking commissioned officers pretty much never enter the battlefield.

Did you really come to a site that has a large atheist population, who's main purpose is to poke fun at fundamentalists of all stripes, and try to convince us that Catholicism is bad? Wow, you really set a low bar for yourself there, sport. Now get back to the threads where there are direct questions waiting for you.

I must've missed something...
Anyway, didn't know there are fucking norms for apparitions and this kind of shit.

Whenever I hear of something like this, I can't help but remember the Bloom County strips where people showed up to venerate a clump of mold in the shape of the head of Elvis Presley growing on the side of a refrigerator.
