Aren't Pentecostals the ones that roll around on the floor screaming and babbling?
History is full of maniacs, my friend, men and women of intelect, highly perceptive individuals, who's brilliant minds know neither restraint nor taboo. Such notions are the devils we must slay for the edification of pony-kind. Even if said edification means violating the rules of decency, society, and rightousness itself.

Yup. They're the nuttiest of nutty ones.

Also, the girl could probably sue for kidnapping, since it wasn't consensual on her part or that of her parents.

Once again, people think they can get away with anything if it's in the name of religion.  >:(  I hope they end up in jail where they belong, this is inexcusable.

If there's a connection between terrifying kids and religious freedom it eludes me.
This man thinks he should be granted the freedom to do anything, including kidnapping, as long as it is done in the name of his religion. That's the connection.

THIS IS NUTS!

On the bright side, though...that one girl realizes how stupid all this Fundie crapola is! I hope at least she & her parents do something.

He'd probably enjoy getting arrested for this, because he'd get to say, "See? I told you we'd be persecuted!"

Yeah...ya know what, persecuting their insane, criminal bullshit is perfectly fine by me.  They should be shunned and ostracized for what they've done, in addition to being sent to prison for as long as is legally allowable.

Yeah, you can do anything, and it won’t be traumatizing at all as long as you say “Fooled You!” afterwards. ::)

"A youth group leader said the exercise was never meant to horrify the youth. The pastor says he will continue to do this, because the lesson is too important. But he will notify parents first."

Yeah notifying parents first will absolve you of any criminal responsibilities.

Ironbite-yep that's how that works.

Imagine the shit storm these people would throw if another religion did this.

I'm pretty sure Muslims would be up on terrorism and kindap charges if they did this. That was my first thought.
