Wish granted.  You're now cursed with a book that gives you terrible papercuts all over your hands whenever you read it.  Oh, and you'll die for some reason if you don't read at least one full page a day.  The book is 1 million pages long, and in fairly small print.

I wish I could come up with a shorter wish corruption.
