Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out he was poisoned.

He was a president for a very short while. During that time he announced that the restrictions on the president's power (put in place by the military due to previous tyrants) no longer concern him and then he fired judges and started doing whatever he pleased regardless of the legality. By the time he had usurped all state power to himself people decided that they had had enough and he was arrested.

Egypt went through several presidents in a short while after they ousted the one who had ruled for decades (also as a tyrant of some decree.)

Replaced Mubarak, then decided this whole dictatorship thing isn't too bad after all.

Just goes to show that sometimes, a "revolution" just means ending up back where you started.
