Fundie Preachers say the Dardest Things
« on: May 30, 2012, 04:10:01 pm »
I'm making a catch-all for all the stupid shit fundie preachers say about gays and what should be done with.

And I'm starting with one that makes "put the gays and lesbians behind an electric fence" sound sane and rational

Yet another Christian pastor's anti-gay rant has come to light in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) blogosphere.

As first reported by Good As You's Jeremy Hooper, Curtis Knapp, pastor of the New Hope Baptist Church in Seneca, Kan., appears to call for the death of gays in this disturbing audio.

"They should be put to death -- that's what happened in Israel," Knapp proclaims. "That's why homosexuality wouldn't have grown in Israel."

Yeah this idiot is calling for the government to flat-out kill homosexuals.  In the biggest disregard for the 10 commandments I have seen so far, this guy is calling for the death of homosexuals to be carried out by the government.  Because it's what happened in Israel.

Ironbite-I have a funny feeling moron here doesn't know what the fuck anything is.

Doesn't Israel have one of the more flourishing gay communities out there?

This is really all that needs to be added to this topic. Though I think there's already a thread on this somewhere.

Found it!

He's referring to ancient Israel there.

Ah.

...And yet Israel still has a flourishing gay community.

A lot of good THAT did them, huh?

I've heard that the "Thou shalt not kill" commandment actually means something more along the line of "Thou shalt not kill anyone who is one of us(Israeli tribes at the time)". This is why the orders to kill everyone who wasn't one of them aren't considered contradictory. Though that does remove one of the few good things in the Old Testament.

@Her3tik's picture- Is that supposed to be for or against the electric fence thing?
History is full of maniacs, my friend, men and women of intelect, highly perceptive individuals, who's brilliant minds know neither restraint nor taboo. Such notions are the devils we must slay for the edification of pony-kind. Even if said edification means violating the rules of decency, society, and rightousness itself.

Did you read/see Jurassic Park? The picture's referring to the fact that the electric fence the dinosaurs were behind failed miserably at keeping them in.

We're not the only state with brain-dead morons.  See the thread about the snake handlers for a prime example.
